My Pastor's going to join the Army, and I didn't even get a lousy t-shirt...

Yep, I got the news the same time as the rest of my congregation -- my pastor is leaving to join the Army and be a full time chaplain. Well, to that I say "God Bless you and keep you safe".

Now, I'm trying to get a job at a dealership... and getting fired from another one. I was told that the job at the second dealership was pretty much a done deal. So, I walk in today and get blindsided by an interview... which I bombed. So -- anyone want to know how to get over on a car salesman? :)

Anyway -- I am working on my next novel. Maybe if my clamoring fans (all three of them) ask nicely, I will put out some samples here. I'm also thinking of writing something for be put on Lulu.com. Anyone's had dealings with them, and if so, how did they work out?

Well... my Memorial Day weekend was nice. Went to the local mall to cool off, stayed home for the most part. Let me tell you, the weather in this part of the country is brutal -- 90 degrees with a heat index of the upper 90's... and it's not even summer yet. Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of summer. I like fall, winter and spring a lot more than summer. Summer months are not my best months. I've been thinking about buying a summer home in Nome, Alaska. I hope they only go up to the 60's. Wait -- isn't the male to female ratio in Alaska like 20 to 1 or something like that? Hope not.

Another feature I am going to tack on here is a word count for my novel. The idea is to keep me going with a visible barometer. So, I am going to post my current word count for the novel, and update it when I update this blog.
